Orders & Shipping
Most orders ship within a few business days, depending on production volume and the complexity of the tint. Standard shipping transit time typically ranges from 2-5 business days once your order leaves us. Once your order ships, you will receive tracking information so you can follow the delivery. If your order is time-sensitive, please contact us and we can discuss expedited shipping options.
Yes. Place your order as usual, then reply to your order confirmation email requesting expedited shipping. Our team will calculate the available options and send you a quote for services such as UPS Next Day Air or 2nd Day Air. Please note that expedited orders still require production time, but they are prioritized to leave as soon as possible.
Yes. For all international orders, please contact us directly at info@violante.co with the products you would like to order and your full shipping address. We will provide an international shipping quote before invoicing. Please note that international shipments may be subject to import duties or taxes, which are the responsibility of the importer.
Product Questions
All products are sold by weight in standard gallon-sized buckets. Because different plaster products vary in density, the same weight may occupy more or less space depending on the formula. Dark colors also contain more tint and may appear slightly fuller than lighter colors. Regardless of how full the bucket appears, every bucket contains the exact weight ordered and will cover the expected square footage listed for the product.
Because we offer thousands of possible colors, we do not produce individual color sample kits. Instead, we tint our plasters to match the Benjamin Moore and Sherwin Williams color catalogs. This allows customers to conveniently select a color using widely available paint swatches or fan decks from those brands.
Application & Installation
Yes. We strongly recommend using Primo Strato as the base primer before applying Venetian plaster. Primo Strato improves adhesion between the plaster and the substrate, ensures even absorption across the surface, and helps prevent issues such as flashing or uneven curing. This step creates the ideal foundation for a consistent, professional finish and is considered standard practice in high-quality Venetian plaster installations.
In most cases, yes. Venetian plaster is extremely versatile and can be applied over many properly prepared surfaces, including: drywall, painted surfaces, cement board, masonry or concrete, and tile with proper preparation. The key requirement is that the surface must be clean, smooth, and properly primed. Using a mineral primer such as Primo Strato ensures strong adhesion and a consistent finish across the entire surface.
