Primo Strato™ is a mineral-based primer designed for both interior and exterior use. Made with lime, marble, and quartz, it creates a textured, absorbent surface that locks onto the substrate and provides the perfect base for plaster application.

This primer is the recommended basecoat for all of our finishes. It is highly effective on concrete, stucco, plaster, cement board, and drywall, ensuring excellent adhesion between the substrate and the decorative finish. Primo Strato™ is also ideal for walls previously painted with emulsion or enamel paints, giving you a consistent foundation for your chosen finish.

For best results, apply one full coat of primer with a paint roller. On new construction with level 5 finishes, the primer may be diluted up to 25% with clean water.

Our products are sold by weight, ranging from 1 kg (quart size) up to 25 kg (5-gallon size). Because each plaster has a different density, buckets may appear more or less full depending on the color or formula. Selling by weight ensures you always receive the correct amount of material and can rely on consistent coverage across every color.
